When we complain about frequent equipment failures, have we considered whether correct and timely inspection, adjustment and maintenance of the equipment are carried out during the use of the equipment? Today, the editor will briefly introduce the routine maintenance methods of crawler cranes to those who are interested in crawler cranes. I hope it will be of some practical value to everyone. We will briefly introduce it to you in four sections:

1.Anti-corrosion of the entire vehicle steel structure

The steel structure of the crawler crane is the skeleton of the entire crane. If the steel structure rusts, it will not only affect the appearance, but may also cause various accidents due to structural corrosion. Therefore, if paint peeling, bruises, etc. are found, the paint should be repainted in time.

2. Timely lubrication of the movable hinge points and bearings of the entire vehicle

Maintenance points include: lubrication of boom hinge pins, track plate connection pins, pulley block bearings, track support pulleys, track rollers and other moving parts.

3. Engine maintenance

(1)Before using the crawler crane, check the engine oil quantity and water level. If it is found that there is a shortage, it should be added in time.

(2)The oil level of diesel fuel should also be checked before starting the vehicle to avoid air entering the oil suction pump due to lack of oil after starting the vehicle.

(3)Engine oil, fuel and coolant should be replaced in advance before the northern season changes. When switching from summer to winter, engine oil with low viscosity should be used, winter diesel should be used as fuel, and coolant should be selected based on the local average winter temperature over the years.

(4)When the engine runs for the number of hours specified in the instruction manual or the engine oil is found to have deteriorated after observation, the engine oil should be replaced with the same grade of engine oil.

4. Hydraulic system maintenance

(1)Hydraulic oil of T32 or the same grade should be used in the hydraulic system in winter, and the water in the oil-water separator should be removed in time to avoid freezing and exploding the oil grid.

(2)The hydraulic oil grid should be replaced after the usage time is reached according to the requirements of the crane operating instructions. When the hydraulic oil grid is found to be dirty during daily inspection, the hydraulic oil grid should be replaced even if the maintenance replacement time limit has not been reached.

(3)If possible, perform filtering and cleaning of the hydraulic system from time to time.
